Duration of studies
There is an internship of 1.5 years.
- General Practice: 3.5 years
- Specialist Training: 4-7.5 years
Trainee selection process
Specialist training takes place at hospitals. Physicians are paid during this period. Access is dependent on the number of available hospital posts.
Specialty curriculum authority
The specialty curriculum authority is the National Board of Health. The Board is also responsible for the registration of doctors in medicine.
