Sixteen international health professions educators who represent academic institutions from 14 countries around the world will arrive in Philadelphia on October 5, 2008, to begin their first session as Fellows of the 2008 FAIMER Institute.

SAFRI Session Held in Conjunction with South African Association of Health Educationalists (SAAHE) Meeting, June 2008
More than 20 FAIMER Institute alumni from five African countries (South Africa, Zambia, Nigeria, Uganda, and Ethiopia) and four FAIMER faculty members (from the United States, United Kingdom, and Malaysia) joined the 2008 Southern Africa-FAIMER Regional Institute (SAFRI) Fellows at the South African Association of Health Educationalists (SAAHE) meeting of about 300 health professions educators at Stellenbosch University on June 19-21, 2008.

2008 GSMC-FAIMER Regional Institute
FAIMER’s first Regional Institute, the GSMC-FAIMER Regional Institute, turned four years old in June 2008, as Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India once again welcomed 16 new Fellows for the beginning session of their two-year program, and welcomed back Fellows from the 2007 class as they began their second on-site session.
