Applications for the International FAIMER Institute are now open for online sessions beginning in June. For more information or to apply now, visit https://www.faimer.org/international-faimer-institute/. The deadline for applications is March 2.
The International FAIMER Institute is a two-year, part-time, online fellowship program for international health professions faculty who have demonstrated the potential to play a key role in advancing health professions education for improving health.
The program is designed to teach education methods, leadership and management, education scholarship and research, project management and evaluation, and quality assurance, as well as to develop strong professional bonds with other health professions educators around the world.
This online program uses an interactive, high-engagement approach that focuses on participants’ projects as the “laboratory” to apply their learning. Selected participants are called FAIMER Fellows and have the unique opportunity to be part of the FAIMER global community and connect with colleagues from around the globe.
To date, more than 2,000 Fellows from nearly 60 countries have completed the International FAIMER Institute or one of its nine Regional Institutes around the world. Alumni of the Institute have become leaders at their universities and change agents for health professions education in their countries.
Faculty from all health professions are welcome to apply. To be eligible, applicants must have a graduate or professional degree, be competent in written and spoken English, and must propose an education innovation program endorsed by their institution.
