The International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) 7th International Conference on Medical Education was hosted by the Medical Council of New Zealand from November 11-14 in Wellington, New Zealand. The conference, titled Medical Regulation: Global Issues – Shared Solutions, featured a number of presentations, panel discussions, and workshops on topics such as cultural competence, physician migration, medical education and training, public expectations, and physician regulation. As part of a program titled, The A, B, C of Regulating Doctors, FAIMER President and CEO, John J. Norcini, Ph.D., gave a presentation on Resources to Help Regulators Understand Medical Schools. Dr. Norcini’s presentation focused on current resources, needs of medical regulators, challenges to creating and maintaining international resources, and strategies for the future.
