The book, a sequel to an earlier book entitled <i>Principles of Medical Education<\/i>, provides a scientific approach to the assessment of clinical competence, with particular emphasis on the use of assessment to promote learning in Indian medical schools. The book contains a foreword written by Bill Burdick (FAIMER Associate Vice President for Education and Co-Director of the FAIMER Institute), as well as chapters authored by FAIMER President and CEO John Norcini, and FAIMER faculty members B.V.
