The authors are recognized for \u201cWhen Personal Identity Meets Professional Identity: A Qualitative Study of Professional Identity Formation of International Medical Graduate Resident Physicians in the United States<\/a>,\u201d published in the January 2025 special issue of International Medical Education, <\/strong><\/em>\u201cHealth Professions Education Advancements and Innovations\u2014International Perspectives.\u201d<\/strong> The study examines the professional identity formation (PIF) of international medical graduate (IMG) resident physicians and highlights \u201cthe identity tension experienced by IMGs in their PIF journey and the different strategies they employed to navigate the conflicts with American professional norms.\u201d<\/p>\n

The national prize honors outstanding, evidence-based scholarship in medical professionalism. This award-winning research directly supports Intealth\u2019s mission to advance a strong and equitable global health workforce by providing data-driven insights that inform policy, program design, and evaluation related to internationally educated physicians.<\/p>\n
