The deadline for application has been extended to September 11, 2015, and course work will begin on September 21, 2015. (The 2016 application will open on January 1, 2016.)<\/p>\n<p>What makes the FAIMER-Keele program unique is its focus on accreditation and assessment. Participants are able to earn a Certificate, Diploma, or Master\u2019s Degree in Health Professions Education: Accreditation and Assessment. The program aims to empower health professions educators with the knowledge and skills to take educational standards and practice to a higher level\u2014to develop their own practice, to improve health professions education at their institutions and in their communities, and ultimately to help bring about real and lasting advances in local health care.<\/p>\n<p>Program features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training and mentoring from international experts in health professions education<\/li>\n<li>A flexible learning format, which allows busy working professionals to learn new skills and advance their careers while continuing to practice in their current positions<\/li>\n<li>Evidence-based teaching with an emphasis on implementing real-world improvements in participants\u2019 own practice and at their institutions<\/li>\n<li>A focus on accreditation and assessment, in which international standards, accreditation processes, quality assurance, and monitoring are integrated into study<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program, now in its third year, is conducted in partnership with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keele.ac.uk\/medicine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keele University<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/cenmedic.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Centre for Medical Education in Context (CenMEDIC)<\/a> in the United Kingdom. Courses are administered by CenMEDIC and follow the quality assurance guidelines and policies of Keele.
