He began serving as faculty in 2010 after completing his fellowship and has been instrumental in the program\u2019s success over the past 10 years. His SAFRI colleagues describe him as \u201creliable and dependable with a quiet yet gentle strength,\u201d and say that he served as a mentor for Fellows and faculty alike. Alwyn was also a longstanding faculty member at Stellenbosch University, serving most recently as Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences based in its Centre for Health Professions Education.<\/p>\n<p>Alwyn will be deeply missed by the FAIMER family.
