\"\"<\/a>On February 13, 2018, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) hosted the Manipal Model WHO 2018, jointly organized by the MAHE-FAIMER International Institute for Leadership in Interprofessional Education and Dr. TMA Pai Chair in Interprofessional Education. Students from the constituent institutions of MAHE participated in this interprofessional debate focused on “Climate Change and Health.” The debate was inaugurated by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, who highlighted the pivotal role and contributions of the World Health Organization (WHO) in addressing global health issues. Dr. Ciraj Ali Mohammed, Director of the MAHE-FAIMER Institute, also delivered an address to welcome participants.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy conducting such programs, we aim to provide learning platforms for students to discuss various health effects that arise due to climate change and debate tangible solutions based on an interprofessional focus,\u201d Dr. Ciraj shares. \u201cWe believe that such interventions can provide participants with the knowledge necessary to engage in evidence-based health policy discourse, and plan interventions accordingly.”<\/p>\n

The MAHE-FAIMER International Institute for Leadership in Interprofessional Education offers a two-year leadership program on interprofessional education and collaborative practice and is open to all professions interested in contributing to the health of communities, particularly from South Asia.
