\"International<\/a>FAIMER and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)<\/a>\u00a0are pleased to announce that\u00a0the International Federation of Medical Students\u2019 Associations\u00a0(IFMSA)<\/a> has been named an Honorary Sponsor of the\u00a0World Directory of Medical Schools<\/em><\/a>, a database managed jointly by WFME and\u00a0FAIMER.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0World Directory<\/em>\u00a0is used by medical regulatory authorities to verify the existence of medical schools and the qualifications of their graduates. It is also a source of information for both current and prospective medical students, which is why the student point of view is of great importance to WFME and FAIMER. With its wide network of members, IFMSA has been instrumental in the efforts to keep the database up to date, and its involvement is expected to be even more significant in the future.<\/p>\n

Currently, there is a rotation of full-time\u00a0IFMSA interns<\/a>\u00a0in the WFME office in Ferney-Voltaire, whose task is to seek new information and contacts that could be helpful in ensuring that the\u00a0World Directory\u00a0<\/em>holds the most current and reliable data possible. IFMSA also takes part in the World Directory <\/em>Senior Advisory Committee meetings and therefore has a direct impact on how the\u00a0World Directory\u00a0<\/em>functions and what strategies are put in place to maintain it\u00a0<\/em>as a\u00a0useful tool for all stakeholders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
