Zhongfang Zhang, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Zhongfang Zhang is involved in various medical education activities at Shantou University Medical College (SUMC) in China. She serves as Deputy Director of the Undergraduate Education Office and focuses on curriculum design and development for undergraduate medical students. As Director of the Center for Faculty Development, Dr. Zhang is responsible for creation and implementation of faculty development programs to strengthen the educational competence of SUMC faculty.
As regional faculty, Dr. Zhang is actively involved in the on-site and on-line programs of the CMU-FAIMER Regional Institute and the SMU-FAIMER Regional Institute, both in China. She is also an assessor in accreditation of medical education in China.
Dr. Zhang received her Medical Degree at Jilin Medical College and got her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Jilin University, China. She is a 2013 Fellow of the CMB-CMU-FAIMER Regional Institute.
