- Health Workforce Information Center (HWIC)
- A comprehensive on-line library that provides information on health workforce programs and funding sources, workforce data, research and policy, and educational opportunities and models across the United States.
- PAHO Human Resources Management
- Provides databases of information related to public health surveillance and periodical publications on migration issues in the Americas.
- UK Department for International Development (DFID) Health Resource Centre
- An international consortium, funded by DFID, that provides advice, expertise, and knowledge in public health and health systems in low- and middle-income countries. Two main HRC services are information services and consultancy services.
- World Health Organization - Health Workforce
- Addresses issues of education and training, governance and planning, migration, and retention in the health workforce field. Provides statistical information, publications, and information about events related to health workforce.

- AAMC Workforce Studies
- Conducts studies and produces reports on physician workforce issues related to physician supply, demand, distribution, and utilization. Brings together organizations and groups interested in physician workforce issues.
- Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS), University at Albany
- A non-profit research organization that conducts studies on the supply, demand, use, and education of the health workforce, and collects and analyzes data to understand workforce dynamics and trends.
- Health Resources and Services Administration Bureau of Health Professions
- Releases studies related to a range of health workforce challenges in the United States. Researches the state of the U.S. health care workforce, tracking shortages, trends, and issues as they develop.
- Human Resources for Health
- An open-access, peer-reviewed, on-line journal covering aspects of planning, producing, and managing health workforce.
- International Centre for Human Resources in Nursing (ICHRN)
- Undertakes and disseminates research on critical nursing HR issues. Analyzes and advocates nursing HR policy. Evaluates good HR management practice.
- The Midwest Center for Health Workforce Studies
- Resource for health workforce data, research, and policy analysis. Conducts analyses of supply, demand, diversity, training, and professional practice in nursing, medicine, dentistry, public health, pharmacy, occupational therapy, and genetics. Offers technical assistance to organizations seeking health workforce information.

- International Centre on Nurse Migration
