Ray Wells, Ph.D.
Ray Wells Ph.D., is the principal of Wellbeing Systems, Inc. of Abington, PA, a company that specializes in leadership, team and organization development, performance enhancement, and programs that promote individual learning and development. He is an international consultant and trainer who has designed and delivered programs for more than 60 clients over the past fifteen years, including the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Johnson & Johnson, the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, the University of Michigan, and the American Council on Education.
Over a four-year span at Princeton University, Ray worked with an on going culture change program targeted towards Princeton’s top 450 administrators and managers. Among many other projects, he assisted with the design of four management development conferences and post-conference training programs on the challenges of change, process improvement, the introduction of a performance enhancement initiative, and the impact of new technology on organizational processes.
His experiences in the growing arena of whole system change methodologies include the management and facilitation of Future Search conferences for Princeton University on administrative technology systems and the University of Connecticut on the future of student affairs. He designed and facilitated a conference for recently merged Drexel University and MCP Hahnemann University, where the task was to develop a number of $1 million-plus grant proposals for cross-disciplinary, cross-school, cross-institutional educational research and innovation projects. Currently he is in the midst of a visioning process for the HIV/AIDS unit at MCP Hahnemann University.
Ray earned his Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University (OH) in human development and his Ph.D. in applied social psychology from Temple University, where his research focused on how leadership creates and maintains a sense of community in a university setting. He is affiliated with the Future Search Alliance, an international group of whole system change practitioners, and with the Community of Agile Partners in Education (Bethlehem, PA), a not-for-profit organization that facilitates relationship-driven, technologically-mediated change for K-12 and higher education.
