Mia Solomon, Ph.D.
Dr. Solomon is a native Philadelphian, who earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional areas of expertise include physician-patient communication, a field in which she became interested in 1987 while working with family medicine residents. Her primary research interest is in physician interpersonal skills, with a focus on facilitating a humanistic dialogue between physician and patient. Dr. Solomon has developed a curriculum for building interpersonal skills, which she advanced further in her work at Bryn Mawr Hospital and at the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, where she oversees physician-patient communication assessment.
In addition to her native English, Dr. Solomon speaks (non-fluent) Spanish.
