Dr. Anshu, M.B.B.S., M.D., M.N.A.M.S.

Dr. Anshu, M.B.B.S., M.D., M.N.A.M.S.Dr. Anshu is Professor of Pathology at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, India. She earned her M.B.B.S and M.D. in Pathology degrees from Government Medical College, Nagpur. She has been trained in oncopathology and cytology at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Her interests are in oncopathology, cytology, and medical education.

Dr. Anshu was awarded a Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship in 2007 to study the National Health Service (NHS) Cervical Screening Programme and train in liquid-based cytology at Guy’s Hospital and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, United Kingdom. She is on the Editorial Advisory Board of the U.K. journal Cytopathology and on the National Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology. She is an Executive Member of the Indian Academy of Cytologists.

Dr. Anshu was awarded a CMCL-FAIMER Fellowship in 2007 and a FAIMER Institute Fellowship in 2009. She had previously been trained at the National Teacher Training Centre in Pondicherry, India. She is a faculty member and resource person at all three Indian FAIMER Regional Institutes—CMCL-FAIMER, Ludhiana; GSMC-FAIMER, Mumbai; and PSG-FAIMER, Coimbatore. Dr. Anshu is also a resource person for the advanced medical education workshops conducted each year by the Medical Education Department of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Pune, where she is on the Board of Studies for Medical Education.

Dr. Anshu has more than 45 publications in indexed, peer-reviewed journals in pathology and medical education.
