International Medical Education Directory
The International Medical Education Directory (IMED) is a searchable, web-based resource on the world's medical schools that is available to users at no cost. IMED offers basic and curricular information on medical schools, including address, title of medical degree granted, enrollment, duration of curriculum, language of instruction, entrance examination requirements, and the years for which the school is recognized by the government of the country where the school is located. The schools listed in IMED are those that are recognized by the government agencies in the countries where the medical schools are located.
IMED Subscription Service
The IMED Subscription Service provides comprehensive access to the IMED database. For an annual fee, subscribers can download the IMED database in XML or CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. Access to the IMED database during the one-year subscription period is unlimited, and subscriptions are renewable, upon request.
FAIMER Annual Report
The Annual Report provides information on FAIMER's programs and services, history, current research activities, and new initiatives. FAIMER distributes printed copies of the Annual Report to members of the FAIMER mailing list, including medical schools, overseas educational advising centers, hospitals, government agencies, U.S. embassies and consulates, professional medical organizations, and to individuals upon request.
FAIMER MedEd
FAIMER MedEd is an e-newsletter for the international medical education community. Interested individuals can subscribe to this newsletter at no cost on the FAIMER website. Issues are delivered quarterly via e-mail. Previous issues are available on the FAIMER website.
FAIMER's Web-based Fellowship Application
FAIMER's web-based fellowship application allows international medical school faculty to apply for the Institute and IFME programs via the Internet. Applicants can access the on-line application 24 hours / day, 7 days / week, save partially-completed applications, and review and change information until the applications are completed. On-line instructions are available throughout the application process.
